Why This Is Hell

So... it seems as if my new modem doesn't like accessing various webpages: things with https seems likely - which may make buying tickets fun although I did use Ticketmaster a fortnight ago - www.myspace.com, wallet.yahoo.com, the re-order site for Flickr. I've deleted all the cookies, I've logged out and in, I've turned the modem on and off, and I've tried Opera and Firefox as well as IE7. I've even made http://ordering.yahoo.com a trusted site. Grr.
