There is a price to pay for a good trip to London - and it wasn't standing for half the journey back or the train terminating early. Nor was it the queue at the ticket office.

Yes, I thought I'd unplug the washing machine ready for collection, and I can't turn the cold water fill off. Where are all my big strong men when I need them? Not answering the phone.

Ollie can come round at ten to help.

My delivery slot - they having not phoned me and it being impossible to phone up before 9 to find out - is 7am. Here's hoping they're late.

I believe they will not disconnect old machines.

I'm hoping they will at least deliver a new machine, and I can persuade Ollie to help fit it. I can worry about the old one later.

I am slightly cleaner, and the washing machine cupboard is much wetter, than earlier this morning.
