Publication date now seems to be January 2008 not November 2007 though.

ISBN-10: 1846450438
ISBN-13: 978-1846450433
Amazon.co.uk Sales Rank: 46,977 (whatever that really means)

Amazon.com Sales Rank: #957,391 (hardback)

UK paperback
UK hardback
US hardback

Edit: Good news is that it is November after all:

"Here in the UK we will publish just as soon as we
can, which looks like end Nov/beginning Dec. A UK pub date is meant to
appear on the website - but it obviously doesn't. We'll fix it."

Will the publication date mess up an RAE submission?

[Looks good tho']

Fortunately I wasn't going to submit it as an item, largely because the Power That Is would likely not see it as research, even if I've in excess of 100,000 words.

It would be entertaining if someone in it got a submission, mind.

Turns out, little of what I've done in my career counts. I had to argue to use the Cambridge Companion chapter - actually in the end I think I used the Blackwells piece as having a greater percentage of research in it. The Routledge Companion won't count. It's not research. It's a textbook.

Let's not get me started.

But I'm not a Reader and I'm not on study leave, you'll note. Research is only research if someone pays you to do it. If you can't scratch a window with it...

Forget about plays, music, exhibitions, multimedia bundles - unless you can get a corporartion to finance it when suddenly it would be Research.

... And relax.

Bizarrely my university submits plays, music, exhibitions etc but does not regard novel writing as "research". Poetry is ok though.

Makes about the same sense. Remember, the newer the university status, the more old fashioned they have to be. And the corollary

I saw that last night. I Googled for Greenwood and then looked for the book, and saw the new cover.

Is it okay to tell people about it yet?

I don't see why not - the illustrations are chosen, copy edits have been done, orders have been taken.
