The reason for not getting the study leave is that the work didn't constitute research. Although people have had it for editing a book before, according to the research report.

Thank you. I know it's hard. If you want to see mine and my colleague's applications (both of which went through multiple iterations and had comments from several people who had served on promotions committees).

I presume I must have a copy of my application somewhere. It was done at a point of trying to finish a book and degree documentation - and is now a bit of a blur. It would be useful to see another.

I did kind of assume it wouldn't happen first time - but you compare your outputs to other readers in close geographic proximity and you get ahead of yourself. Not to knock theirs, but it's a shorter entry.
