Has Anyone Seen My W Drive?

We have a college wide drive that has things like exam results, statutes, rules, datas, forms and such like. I use it about twice a year, although I'm aware of it sitting down there on Windoze Exploder. Today is one of the times I need it. It was there earlier this week.

It's not there now.

Curiously, when I go into Excel, I can open the file I last had open and can open any Excel files from the W drive. But it's not there on Exploder. This is not the first time it has gone missing. Or perhaps Exploder is hiding it.

I can't find files in individual programmes - but as you never know if a file is a word document, an Excel spreadsheet or a PDF it keeps leaving you guessing which programme to open.

I'm sure it used to be on Exploder

did you have a usb memory stick plugged in at the time? One of my older sticks grabs the network drive letter (albeit that is the F: drive) at work and won't let me see the network. Only way round it was to reconfigure the drive letter that Windoze assigns to the stick

There is/was, but that comes up as E or F, according to which machine I'm on. I'll try it, though - and then work out how to copy between them.
