Was At the Earth's Core actually based on the ERB book of the same name and I somehow missed it? or is it something else entirely? I remember being entirely delighted when The People That Time Forgot came out.
We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Yes, it is a version of ERB.

When I was small, I saw movies at a magical moviehouse in Norman Oklahoma called the Boomer theater (after the Oklahoma state land-rush character) (or maybe after the atomic bomb, one wonders). I can just feel a post coming on.

Rough count of 45 seen, mostly on tv/video/DVD, with probably about 30 I want to see and 30 I'd much rather not. I'm hugely tempted by this (http://www.amazon.com/SciFi-Classics-Collection-Movie-Pack/dp/B0001HAGU6/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-5020818-0896635?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1179158245&sr=8-1), but I fear it's 1950s and 1960s crud. This (http://www.amazon.com/Nightmare-Worlds-Movie-Pack-Collection/dp/B000H5U68O/ref=sr_1_2/103-5020818-0896635?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1179158245&sr=8-2) isn't any better. (Not that I'm against 1950s and 1960s crud, I just want the seventies version.)

Madison had a dozen film societies on campus before the advent of video, so one could see 7 and 9 pm shows Thursday through Sunday, back in the day, for $1. I rather miss not only the social occasion, but having someone who knows the field, whatever field, to pick my viewing list.

The first half of the list was from a book (Phil Hardy? Aurum?), the second from IMDB. I have spotted a year's difference between the IMDB and other sources before - say the Time Out guide.
I suspect here it's Video Game vs film - certainly that's the case in Death Race. Will delete.
Thanks!
