Disappointing Malzberg about psychic doctors - they seem to be able to cure people be going inside them. Lots of threats to kill people, some surprisingly graphic sex and a downer ending.

As Istvan Csicsery-Ronay notes, a kind of petit-apocalypse - a yellow gas is released from a scientific establishment, causing people to loss self control and have sex all over the place. This is relatively obscure and neglected compared to Crash - which gives one pause for thought.
