The Oldest Artist in the World?

I am tempted by a number of exhibitions in Chichester which end this month - but I see that 3 1/2 hours is the likely journey time there, and I plan to go there in the Summer for the women surrealists. But, doing a little bit of research on Wiki (spawn of the devil) pedia, I discover: Died 12 December 1971 (1971-12-13) (aged 1962). H'mmm.

Would that be one of the surrealists? Apposite, if so.

I'm guessing so - one John Tunnard, a name unknown to me, and fitting into the mysterious project which has yet to materialise, but clearly covers the years 1920-1940 is abstract and surreal art.
