Dilemma

So, small rucksack (and maybe a large, Lakeland plastic type bag folded up inside it) to travel light or a virtually empty middling to large rucksack to cater for ... possibilities?

Carry the small one inside the large as a day bag?

ETA: Curiously the one I thought of as middling to large, and certainly larger than I assumed, is larger than my large one. I need a medium one for a couple of nights away - yanno, couple of pairs of socks, underwear, two tshirts, washrag, laptop, half a dozen books...

If you were going to buy a new rucksack, we recommend the Deuter Futura range. Deuter do other styles, but the Futura is really well designed, and has a mesh back that holds the body of the rucksack away from your body, greatly reducing the sweaty back problem.
