I Was Ross Noble's Extras
Or will be. Perhaps.
The 1am bedtime was as optimistic as I dared with a post day out disco in the Imp - but they had quietened down and stragglers left quietly. Even so - and exhausted by a dream in which I convinced myself that there was a sequel to The Man Who Fell to Earth - I dozed through David Attenborough, BH and twenty minutes of The Archers. The essays I'd planned to finish yesterday to give me today off receded into mid afternoon, and a nap-with-cat, and then after a pile was gotten through I thought to take the bus to the campus on the hill.
Here I was distracted by reserving eighty quid's worth of tickets - lesee Lee Mack, Sean Hughes, Daniel Kitson, Adam Hills and Brendan Burns, Milton Jones, Jim Jeffries, a couple of other things, ah, Sammy J and the Forest of Dreams ["It's a musical. For adults. With puppets."]. Then to mark some more before the reason I was there -
Ross Noble interviewed on stage by Ollie Double for his DVD extras and a pilot for a series of comedian interviews. The audience also got to submit questions - and I got to be first to ask the question. Stand up. Here's the mike. Oh dear. Another one of those but I'm shy moments. It'll be interesting to see what makes the final cut - although the funniest bits are the outtakes around the mechanics of doing the show.
And now to finish the marking.
[Eta: bed 3am, slept 4am, up 8.30. Cats so did not help
