I plan to take Friday off. This translates as I will go to the library at the campus on the hill, and research the Leuven paper.

I wonder if I'd have time to go up to W afterwards? Look at the sea.

Marking mountains surround or beckon, with another absence to deal with next week - some can go to Leuven, I guess. And I need a real not-working day this weekend. Does watching The Man who Fell to Earth count as not working? Maybe I should go to Deal on Saturday. Need more Cafe Nerds in the area. Or I could try Lewes or Eastbourne. Engineering works? Place your bets. Ashford? Yawn. Do the Medway towns (Rochester for Baggins, Rainham for a couple more, maybe try Gillingham). Too much book shopping. And been there. Back to Hastings - save Rye for the book sale in July.

I'm on campus on Friday, for a graduate conference, if you fancy meeting for lunch (between 12 noon and 1.30).

Is that ART, AESTHETICS AND THE SEXUAL or is that another one?

Lunch is a good idea. Noonish in Gulb?

No, the one I'm going to is part 1 of the totally terrifying graduate conference being held by Skepsi, under the auspices of SECL. It's called Ambiguities: Destabilising Preconceptions. I don't entirely understand most of the papers' titles; I'm hoping I'll understand some of the content.

It's being held over in Woolf, so look for me circa 12.15. by the time I've escaped, and got across the road, (which is also a good time as it's before the morning exam chuck-out and it gets a bit intense in there some 15-20 minutes later).

I'm also going to the English pg-r conference tomorrow. Very pretentious titles indeed. They provide lunch, and it's just 45 minutes. Such a variation of practice.

There's a bookfair in Lewes on Saturday. It usually has more than just militia and topography.

This Saturday or all? (Lewes is another half hour ... on the other hand I have some thick books. Or dissertations. Oh, to be able to go to pub without marking, proofing or indexing)

ETA: Paws and Claws (http://www.pawsandclaws-ars.org.uk/bookfair.html)?

ETA II: An intinarararararararary (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1C1CHMG_en-GBGB291GB303&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=lewes+books&fb=1&split=1&gl=uk&ei=M5MVSu7TDaOOjAf19M3oDA&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=image&resnum=1)

Paws and Claws?

Yes, that's them. The bookfairs are roughly quarterly. And the town hall is opposite the Lewes Arms so at least you can do marking whilst drinking Harveys.

I don't think so. I'm getting the car in first thing but I doubt they'll get it done quickly. Though it would be lovely if they did. Has completely wrecked the end of the week (though not me or the car, which is the only good thing). Sorry!

Proof reading and drinking Harveys, maybe, marking... well...

Ah, and Lewes begins with L.
