Some time in the new year - "both girls, both spayed. Ginger one is T--- and Tortoiseshell one is M--- but you can call them whatever you like, they don't respond to their names but I think that's just because they are rude!"

Have thought of appropriate new names that share initials and assonance of originals, and one even suits a ging.

True - although unless you fancy going to see standup or Clive James or go to a conference there are limited weekend options before Easter. I suppose you could make your own entertainment.
