Does anyone know which book Terry Pratchett chose on Desert Island Discs? I know his records (though not the one he chose from the eight) and his luxury, but the book escapes my researches. I have a feeling of Wodehouse or Jerome, but...
There's always AQA (63336) but I'd ask a carefully worded question asking them to show their workings as I suspect there's a large amount of fobbing off going on under the AQA banner. (Matron!)
On a slightly less whimsical note, I wrote my car off last night ploughing into a roundabout at ill-advised speeds in the middle of the night. I remain unscathed, physically and legally (no intoxicating substances had been imbibed, if they had I doubt I would have been driving so recklessly) but my finances and pride have taken a battering. Shit.
So, I'm ditching the car altogether now. Spared me the dilemma of whether to keep the car insured when I'm not using it up in London I guess and I'll have an appreciably trimmer carbon footprint. Plus I can drink on those occasions on which I might have otherwise been unable... Hmmm.. Bring on public transport!
Fuck that just swallowed my reply. You know roundabouts are meant to be circumnavigated, not ploughed across (look for the clue in the title). No show this Friday then?
It's all getting frautfully social here. We may be going down the Old Brewery again this Friday. Oook.
