None in Foxholes, Anyway

Pratchett may live to regret this interview: "Pratchett finds God" headlines appear to be multiplying.

Good interview--thanks for sharing. I would never get to see anything, left to myself, down here under this rock.

Andrew, I also say "thank you for pointing out that article".

But, I don't think Terry will get any grief over it. He knows that gods' address (Dunmanifestin) after all, as well as the power of "narrativium".

I think that most of us, in times of Great Stress, we "revert to what was drummed into us as children". (What that means for children who grow up in an 'atheist' household, I'm not sure)

We're not sure either.

I get the sense that his answer was more nuanced than the coverage suggests, and various people are using it as the proof of God/Nobodaddy in a rather snide way.

Personally I can think of several reasons why he suddenly felt at ease, nothing to do with 'im upstairs.

Did you hear 'Thought for the Day' this morning? It managed to be about TP finding God.

I think I might keep the article for the "If I ate myself into obesity I could get pills for that for nothing. If I wanted Viagra I could get that for nothing" comment.

It did rather suggest a freewill about those two conditions which Alzeimer's avoids. Let's hope it isn't caused by dust in keyboards or inhaling correcting fluid, or he'll have to recant.
