Has anyone seen Raines and got an opinion on it? It's a detective series in which the cop solves crimes in an unusual way - by talking to dead people. So not at all like Medium, Pushing Daisies or Randall and Hopkirk, Deceased then. There are only eight episodes so far, so maybe it's safe to give it a go.

I seen it

it was on NBC last year.

An interesting concept, though they make it plain that the dead people Raines talks to really ARE just figments of his imagination. He's not a psychic like on Medium.

My wife and I liked it and indications are that that one partial season was "it".

Thanks - yes, mid season replacement pulled at episode 7. I can risk it without committing five years (although if it's good it'll be frustrating...)
