One of the few remaining scenic railways was 40% destroyed by fire on Monday. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/kent/7335985.stm) It's Grade II listed, and I think developers have been wanting to stick a housing estate there for years. (Though probably not for the Kosovar Albanians.) Far be it for me to suggest any connection.

What's a betting that Lazar Quest burns before the planning permission is granted for its redevelopment into housing?

I'd like to bet that people eye that up as valuable St Kilda real estate.

Not sure if the brakers ride on the trains in the same way at the Dreamland one as they did at Luna Park; the rolling stock is part of what's gone.
