We will draw a veil over the great 4.30 p.m. flood in Folkestone.
At 5.05 last night I was at the Chantry Road junction at New Dover Road; I actually parked in the UKC car park at 5.35 p.m.
Someone had got knocked down outside Aldi's, so all the traffic was backing onto the roundabout. So I decided to go round Pin Hill, etc. failng to grasp what this would do to Wincheap. No quarter was being given on the roundabout.
And the St Stephen's Green level crossing was flooded. And numerous other places.
And then the seminar grossly overran for the first time, and I missed the meeting I was supposed to be at.
