So today was sort of fail - the morning was spent failing to read all of The Twilight of Briareus, which seems to be a slower read than the others. Then at noon I headed for the pub and, for reasons which need not detain us at this juncture, I stayed there. Coffee and orange/soda all day. Buzz buzz. But fun. Two Daily Hate Mail crosswords, one Grauniad (by Aracauria, no less). Tomorrow I need to get back on the horse, finish The Clangers series one and start on the Cherryh trilogy. Oh, and write up - bit then I hope to have read all the Cowpers.
Okay, I don't seem to be getting with resolutions, but I think a draft of one or two of the articles needs to emerge this month. You'll also not that the word count for the seventies book has gone up - I've temporarily lied about ten thousand words as likely bibliography length.

  1. Write 5,000 word chapter on The Man Who Fell to Earth

  2. Rewrite review

  3. Write a section for another guide to sf [I've done a plan for this]

  4. Write an article on slipstream

  5. Write a chapter based on the proposal on narratives

  6. A 120,000 word book on seventies sf

38500 / 120000 words. 32% done!
