Okay, I've gone through the Clute/Nicholls encyclopedia and extracted novels and collections which seem significant or representative or interesting in relation to the 1970s. I've merged this with the Awards listing. (I also have a list of short fiction and will compile a list of films)

Consider this as a first draft of a history of seventies science fiction. I'm sure there are omissions, but at the moment I'm more worried about covering central texts than marginal. I suspect this is UK-centric and is lacking in Australian, Canadian and New Zealand..ian authors. I'll dip into Strange Constellations and Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy
