Those Who Try To

I got a couple of hours of editing done yesterday, but entirely expectedly I didn't get back from the pub until closing. I ended up drinking with N as he was waiting to go out and would have been in no fit state. I ran out of money but at that point I did what I swore I'd never do: asked for a slate.

It's a slippery road.


Better pay up tonight. And try to get out of there quickly.

Curses and Black Puddings

I figure I'm eight quid down on the day.

I took money out the hole in the wall to pay the credit card bill, and twenty quid for tonight and lunch, and hopefully Friday's market and paintbrush purchasing. Figuring I needed it soon, and there was no point in getting out my wallet a second time, I stuck a pavorotti in my back pocket. ( So much for that )

What are those folded paper things called - four little connected pyramids which you move with the tips of your fingers, and having counted out answers to questions you open a flap to reveal the consequences?
