Curses and Black Puddings
I figure I'm eight quid down on the day.
I took money out the hole in the wall to pay the credit card bill, and twenty quid for tonight and lunch, and hopefully Friday's market and paintbrush purchasing. Figuring I needed it soon, and there was no point in getting out my wallet a second time, I stuck a pavorotti in my back pocket.
Or so I thought.
Bum.
The kicker is I had to get my wallet out to get the Tesco credit card to get the points. And I bet they didn't give me my green point. Last time I stick something in my back pocket.
On the other hand, I bought two tubes of 100ml Aloe Vera Gel at £2.99 rather than one tube of 200ml for £4.99, thanks to the clerk at Holland and Barrett pointing it out.
Good News: Julian Graves, which closed down with a view to moving their stock to Whittards (which is smaller than them anyway, and is more interested in tea), has reopened. This may be a Christmas special, of course.
Bad News: Albion Books is closing down - although their shops in Broadstairs will remain open. I think Wottakers did for them. It's going to be a Subway instead because, hey, we don't have enough places to eat near the Big Church.
